Other Wikis
One of the best know projects showing what wikis can do is the
Wikipedia Project, an online encyclopaedia that users can contribute to, which is run by The Wikimedia Foundation, a non-profit foundation. They also run:
- Wiktionary (a free dictionary)
- Wikisource (a collection of public domain or FDL-licensed texts)
- Wikibooks (free textbooks for schools and universities)
- Wikiquote (a collection of notable quotations).
