SocialSource November 2005 Programme

Programme for SocialSource 2005

Here is the programme for SocialSource 2005 as it finally took place on 9 November 2005.

Event Format

The day will be an informal, peer-to-peer networking event in the co-operative spirit of Open Source: an exchange of experiences, curiosity and enthusiasm. It is intended to act as a meeting point between those new to Open Source and those actively involved in open source projects and their support, as well as a forum for stakeholders from across the voluntary and technology sectors.

The programme will be split between timetabled talks with space for questions, and free time for discussion and hands-on demonstrations of Open Source systems.

Discussions will be introduced by people who have already piloted Open Source & Free Software solutions in the Voluntary & Community Sector.

A number of “spaces” will be available:

Lower Hall (sub basement) - main area - Introduction & wrap-up sessions + ongoing demonstrations & discussions throughout the day
Lower Hall (sub basement) - talks area - for a number of the timetabled talks, as well as discussion space
Conference Room 1+2 (top floor) - Timetabled talks
Rooms 3 & 4 (top floor) - break-out space for discussion
Thiman Room - Timetabled talks
